FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our scans typically take 5 to 8 minutes. However, including the consultation, we recommend setting aside 1 to 1.5 hours for your entire appointment.

We kindly ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any necessary pre-appointment paperwork that was not done online.

Unfortunately, our scans are not covered by insurance, as insurance typically covers evaluations only when symptoms are present. Tragically, waiting for symptoms often means it's too late. Our patients choose to scan proactively, aiming to detect potentially life-threatening conditions at the earliest possible stage.

All of our scans are conducted by an ARRT-registered CT Technologist licensed in the state of Florida.

At ClearView Imaging our scans cover the area from the shoulders to the base of the pelvis, focusing on your vital internal organs to identify any abnormalities. We do not scan the limbs.

This quick, non-invasive test requires no injections, dyes, fasting, or special preparations—it's designed entirely with your comfort in mind. While you lie on your back in the open scanning chamber, the CT scanner rapidly and painlessly captures detailed images of your internal organs. Operating at a speed of 1/20th of a second, it’s significantly faster than traditional CT or CAT scans. This advanced technology ensures clear, high-resolution images, crucial for accurately assessing the constant motion of your organs, blood, and fluids.

Our CT scanners use low radiation levels, significantly reducing your exposure. In fact, traditional CT or CAT scans can expose you to up to 20 times more radiation compared to our advanced technology.

Most scans are considered screening exams and can be scheduled without a doctor’s order. However, exceptions may apply based on factors such as age (typically under 40), family medical history, or personal medical history.

Since these scans are paid out of pocket, we strive to keep our pricing affordable. Options range from introductory scans priced under $100 to 12-year Health Check Advantage plans with convenient yearly payments. For detailed pricing information, please visit our pricing page.

All of our scans are unenhanced and non-contrast, requiring no dyes, needles, or injectables.

Our scanner uses I-dose™, a dose reduction software, to deliver the lowest radiation dose possible while maintaining diagnostic accuracy. This ensures our patients receive a scan with lower radiation exposure compared to traditional CT scans.

Our scans are read by our Board-Certified Radiologists.

Please remember to bring your stent card for the technologist. Since our scans are noninvasive, it's important for us to know the location of any prior stents to ensure accurate scoring results. If you have multiple stents, you may not be eligible for this exam. We encourage you to contact us with your stent information to confirm your eligibility. Keep in mind that scoring accuracy may be affected, as calcium and stents appear similar on CT imaging.
