What To Expect

Easy Painless Process

At ClearView Imaging we know your time is important so we make your scan an easy, painless process. Total appointments last 1-1.5 hours and the actual scan is usually around six minutes. We have you fill out your paperwork before your appointment to save you time. Our patient advocates are available to answer any of your questions and to help you through the entire process. We suggest full body scans once per year. The problem with insurance CT scans is in most cases they will not approve it until you display symptoms and in many cases that may be too late. The earlier you can detect problems the easier they are to solve!

Early Detection is a Game Changer

There are several compelling reasons to consider an annual full-body scan, but those who benefit the most include individuals who: Have a family history of heart disease, aneurysms, cancer, or other serious conditions. Are overweight. Are over the age of 40. Have high cholesterol, diabetes, or high blood pressure. Have smoked at least one pack of cigarettes per day for 10 years or more. Taking proactive steps with a full-body scan can provide critical insights into your health and help identify potential issues before symptoms arise.

Is the Body Scan Safe?

Our advanced low-dose computed tomography (CT) scanner uses specialized X-ray technology, which emits minimal levels of radiation. While safe for most individuals, it is not recommended for pregnant women due to radiation exposure.

Possible Risks & Side Effects

  • Radiation Exposure: Although minimal, this scan is not suitable for pregnant women.
  • Reactions to Contrast: Since our process does not use contrast, iodine, or beta-blockers, there is no risk of allergic reactions, making the procedure simple and safe with minimal risks.

How to Prepare for a Full-Body Scan

No special preparation is required. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing any metal accessories or jewelry.

What to Expect During the Exam

A full-body scan takes less than 10 minutes. You’ll lie on your back on a bed that slides into a donut-shaped machine. The radiology technologist will guide you through the process, including instructions like holding your breath while images are taken.

How Much Does a Body Scan Cost?

The cost of a full-body scan is $2,495, which includes a comprehensive assessment of your overall health.

Is It Covered by Insurance?

Insurance typically covers scans only when symptoms or medical necessity are present. Since our screenings are preventative, we do not file with insurance. However, we strive to keep pricing affordable and offer payment plans to accommodate our patients.

Why Should I Get a Full-Body Scan?

A full-body scan detects cancer, heart disease, and other serious conditions at their earliest stages when they are most treatable. Early detection is crucial for taking control of your health and improving your wellness.
